Thank you to everyone who has joined us for a farm walk this August. We have changed the date of our final walk of the year to Monday 14th September, we hope you can join us for a walk around the farm followed by a BBQ on return.
Take a summer evening stroll through the river meadow and around the farm, visiting our Longhorn cattle and James' Market Garden. Along the way, learn how we're working with nature to improve soil health, increase biodiversity and build a resilient farming system. We'll uncover the surprising importance of dung beetles and other soil life that help keep our pastures thriving. Afterwards, we'll return to the farm for a Barbeque showcasing the best of Cranley produce, including our own beef and seasonal ingredients fresh from the garden.
Your ticket includes refreshments as detailed in the event description. Additional drinks, along with our farm-produced meat, eggs and other produce, will be available to purchase from the shop.
Unfortunately, we are unable to welcome pets, including dogs, on our farm walks.
The walk will begin outside the Cranley Barn farm shop (postcode MK19 6DD) and will be led by Tom and James.
We are a working farm with livestock, machinery and uneven ground. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for the weather conditions. We will be walking through fields, long grass and on uneven terrain, and the walk will go ahead in most weather conditions.
For everyone's safety, we ask that you follow all instructions and guidance provided during the walk and observe any signs or notices around the farm. Please do not touch any machinery, equipment or animals unless specifically invited to do so—we'd like everyone to leave with the same number of fingers they arrived with!
Children are very welcome for a reduced ticket price, all children must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.
If food is included in your event and you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know in advance so we can do our best to accommodate them.
As this is a working farm, we recommend washing hands before eating and after any contact with the farm environment.
Please note that toilet facilities are limited and consist of a compostable toilet.
